Alcatel Submarine Networks UK Ltd.(ASN) has been contracted to carry out construction activities of the AMITIÉ cable system.The AMITIÉ cable system spans nearly 6,600 km in total with the initial UK landing point in Widemouth Bay, near Bude, Cornwall. These operations are due to commence on the 17th October 2021, utilising the vessel Ile de Brehat call sign: FOUC and will last approximately 1 week.

Operations of an Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) X 14 are planned in the vicinity of the PL1270 Britannia Pipeline at St. Fergus Gas Terminal expected during w/c 18 October 2021 for 1 day. The USV will be mobilised at Peterhead, from where it will transit to St. Fergus in order to carry out the nearshore pipeline inspection survey.

Main Lay & Rock Berms - Scylla Subsea Cable

Please be advised that all main lay works have been completed for the Scylla subsea cable project. Localised rock berms were deployed at each of the five cable and pipeline crossings. Where rock berm “start” is indicative of the Westernmost point and “end” indicative of the Easternmost point. The maximum width of the rock berms at time of lay does not exceed 30m.

Seagreen Export Cable nearshore protection works

Nearshore export cable protection works will take place at the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm export cable landfall site at Carnoustie, Angus. The placing of rock bags on the seabed to act as temporary moorings to assist the installation vessels has now been completed. Work will now commence on the tow of 3 self-submersible pipes from Dundee harbour and installation at the export cable landfall site.

Boulder Clearance and Relocation Works - Seagreen Offshore Windfarm

A boulder clearance and relocation campaign will take place within Seagreen Offshore Windfarm site boundary. An ROV with integrated grab tool will be launched using the vessels heave compensated crane to facilitate the relocation of pre-selected boulders from working areas. Any seabed debris located within working areas will also be relocated.

Unmanned Surface Vessel Cable Route Survey - Irish Sea

The USV will be mobilised from Whitehaven Marina, where it will transit to/from the area of operation. During the operation the USV will be performing a Hydrographic Survey.

A-2-Sea Solutions Ltd will be carrying out a geophysical and environmental survey in relation to the ICENI (BT) cable system.Survey areas are located between 8m LAT to 50m LAT(inshore of 60nm).The survey vessel,Cerys Line,will be towing equipment up to 100m astern from 13th October until 22nd December 2021.The vessel will maintain a navigation watch throughout survey operations. Appropriate signs and shapes will be displayed.Mariners are advised to proceed with caution during survey operations.
