The NFFO works with many other organisations, both within and outside of the fishing industry in order to inform, influence and lead policy for the benefit of its members and the wider UK fishing industry.

FISHING INDUSTRY SAFETY GROUP

The NFFO is a member of the Fishing Industry Safety Group (FISG). The group was set up with the ultimate goal of zero preventable deaths on fishing vessels in the UK and to reduce the number of accidents.

CLEAN CATCH UK

The NFFO is a member of the National Steering Group of Clean Catch UK, a collaborative research programme dedicated to better monitoring, reducing, and, where possible, eliminating the accidental capture of wildlife in UK fisheries.

FISHERIES OFFSHORE OIL & GAS LEGACY TRUST FUND

FLTC exists to enhance the safety of fishermen in UK waters by ensuring the provision of information about oil and gas related sea bed structures which might affect fishing.

ACRUNET

The NFFO was part of the Atlantic Crab Resources Users Network (ACRUNET), a project to support and promote the brown crab industry. The project includes 15 different partners from across the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal.
