Notice to Mariners: Rampion Benthic Ecological Surveys 2026

As part of Rampion’s requirements to satisfy the terms of the Deemed Marine License Order, Rampion will be carrying out post construction benthic ecology surveys at locations around the wind farm as shown below. The surveys are due to start on the 16th of May pending weather accessibility.

The project is to remove 20” and 30” pipeline tie-in spools, the Sean RD power cable, the SSIV and protection frame, the SSIV umbilical and the mooring buoys using vessels Edda Freya and Olympic Ares. Starting 7th June 2026.

Geophysical Survey IFA2000 Offshore

Please be advised that on behalf of National Grid Ventures, Fugro is planning to conduct a geophysical survey in the North Sea from the nearshore limit of the IFA2000 cable south of Dover, (51° 05.1’N 001° 14.2’ W) and extending west offshore to the French border (51° 03.1N 001° 35.9E). The survey works shall be conducted by the Fugro Frontier utilising multibeam echosounder and towed sidescan sonar.

Mariners are advised that circa the 21/04/2026, Geo Ocean IV will conduct a Pre-Installation Survey Campaign within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm area. During the period of Pre-Installation Survey, all vessels are requested to keep a 500m safety distance from the Geo Ocean IV at all times.

Debris and Bathy Survey - Kincardine Field

There will be a short programme of work (approximately 24 hours excluding weather) at the Kincardine Field. The work will be inside the wind farm area and close to the floating assets. The scope of the operations is: A debris and bathy survey. Survey vessel will be EDT Hercules. The work was expected to start in early May but is rescheduled to week commencing 18 May 2026.
