Emergency Subsea Cable Repair - Highlands and Islands

The C/S Sovereign has been contracted to undertake a cable repair in the UK. The new cable will be loaded on the C/S Sovereign and winched outwards towards the shore. The C/S Sovereign will be stationed between 1.2 and 1.5km from the shoreline. For further questions, please contact Adrian Carter.

Cable Installation Works in Irish Waters - Celtic Interconnector

Cable installation works are being carried out off the southeast coast of Ireland as part of the Celtic Interconnector Project. This includes cable lay and burial operations from early August 2025, and it is estimated this section of the campaign will be complete in Spring 2026, subject to operational and weather constraints.

SHEPD Holm - Burray Cable Route Survey

XOCEAN on behalf of SHEPD is planning the collection of geophysical data using remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) within the proposed cable route corridor. XOCEAN will only use USVs with a hull mounted Multibeam Echosounders survey system. A crewed Support Vessel will be chartered throughout the survey to support the USVs with departures and arrivals from Burray Boatyard and assist if a technical issue occurs.

Export Cable Installation - East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm

Mariners are advised that NKT will conduct cable installation through Simultaneous Laying and Burial (SLB) along the East Anglia THREE export cable corridor. NKT will utilise the vessel ‘NKT VICTORIA’ for cable laying operations. All marine traffic is advised to maintain a 1000m safety zone around ‘NKT Victoria’ during operations and pass at a reduced speed.

Acoustic Monitor Array Deployment - Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm

Demarcation / Met-Ocean Buoys - Sofia Offshore Wind Farm

All Mariners are advised that on or around 24th November 2025 (weather permitting), the Multicat “Green Isle” will commence the Autumn service inspection of SOWF installed buoyage (Demarcation & Met Ocean) at the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm. The Green Isle shall be monitoring channel VHF 16 and shall be displaying the relevant day shapes / night lights when restricted in its ability to manoeuvre.

XOCEAN Pipeline Survey - St Fergus Refinery Landfall (USV)

Operation of a remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) is planned out of Peterhead Port during mid-November to mid-December 2025, with a planned completion date before 20 December 2025. The USV will be engaged in survey activities associated with the inspection of a pipeline from the St Fergus Gas Terminal. The survey is located in the North Sea, ranging from near shore to approximately 2 nm off the Scottish east coast.
