All mariners and stakeholders are advised that CMOS Installer has completed export cable 2 burial operations. Some areas remain which will require remedial burial at a date to be promulgated in an update to this notice. In addition, two rock bags could not be recovered from the nearshore area and are regarded as dropped objects.

Western Link 2 - 2026 Survey Campaign

The marine survey activities for WL2 commenced on the 13/07/2026 between the Firth of Clyde, Scotland and Caernarfon Bay, Wales. GEOxyz and Causeway Geotech will be completing offshore and nearshore geotechnical surveys respectively. Ocean Ecology will be undertaking offshore benthic survey work in the survey corridor. Fugro will be undertaking offshore and nearshore geophysical survey work in the survey corridor.

Sofia Offshore Wind Farm - Demarcation / Met-Ocean Buoys

All Mariners are advised that from approximately 30 September 2026, the FCS Vega will commence removal of infield Met-ocean Buoyage from the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm Array. Mariners are advised of Seabed Met-Ocean Buoy Moorings that remain in place at SOWF (Excluding Buoy) and are yet to be recovered. Note: these locations are to be avoided by at least 200m.

Vanguard West Offshore Wind Farm - Out of Service Cable Removal

The Multipurpose Vessel “TSM Bergen” has commenced the removal Out of Service (redundant) Infield Cables from the seabed within the wind farm array site. Mariners are also advised that on or around 18th September 2026, the MS Trym shall be undertaking Out of Service Cable Removal Works at the Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm export cable route, for approximately 10 days, weather and work progress depending.
