Perenco UK plans to undertake geophysical and environmental survey in the Southern North Sea. The anticipated earliest start date for the proposed survey operations is 1st September 2026 through to 1st November 2026. The decommissioning survey activities will take approximately 26 days during this period and will be completed in between the vessel’s other activities.

Sofia Offshore Wind Farm - Demarcation / Met-Ocean Buoys

All Mariners are advised that circa. 5th September 2026 until further notice, the FCS Vega and Kingdom of Fife will be undertaking infield buoyage service inspection works as required at the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm Array. Mariners are advised of Seabed Met-Ocean Buoy Moorings that remain in place at SOWF (Excluding Buoy) and are yet to be recovered. Note: these locations are to be avoided by at least 200m.

Irish Sea - Sediment sampling and seabed lander deployments

The RRS Discovery will be conducting sediment sampling with box core, multicore and SPI camera, and sampling the water column behind a chartered fishing vessel in 4 sites during July and August. An instrumented seabed lander will also be deployed at each of the 4 sites for up to 5 days. These sites are fishing grounds and close to some navigation routes. The RRS Discovery will have restricted manoeuvrability during these operations.

The RRS Discovery has deployed an instrumented seabed lander on 08/08/2026. This lander presents a hazard to towed fishing gear and requested an exclusion of 500m around the lander location for any trawling or dredging.
