December Council: Beam Trawls

Beam trawlers in 2008 will be subject to a 10% cut in days but we secured an important footnote that allows for the allocation of additional days if a member state has exhausted its days before their quotas.  In addition, an important derogation was included that will allow twin rig flat-fishing with 100mm+ nets.  Important concessions were also won on lemon sole, megrim, skates and rays.
